The Tropical Atlantic Variability Conference will take place at the Protea Hotel Breakwater Lodge, Victoria and Albert (V&A) Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa. Once a 19th century prison, the Breakwater Lodge enables one to experience a rich piece of history in modern-day comfort, right next to Cape Town’s fabulous V&A Waterfront, with its sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, Table Bay Harbour, the City of Cape Town and Table Mountain.

From the 25th to the 27th of August 2015, both oral and poster presentations, lunches, coffee breaks and the icebreaker will take place at the Breakwater Lodge  with the afterparty at Ferryman pub.

 

On 24th August 2015, the CLIVAR Atlantic Region panel will meet on campus, at the University of Cape Town (UCT). Any additional meetings and/or workshops that day will also take place on campus. Informal gathering center at the Ferryman pub on that days for early birds.

 

On 27th August 2015 afternoon, PIRATA internal meetings will take place at the Breakwater Lodge. The PREFACE working group discussions will be divided in 3 rooms (CT2, CT3&4, CT5), one in the lecture amphitheatre of the Breakwater Lodge, and the other two in separate meeting rooms at the Atlantic Imbizo, Clock Tower Office, Clock Tower Shopping center at the Waterfront (by the Clock Tower, 5min walk from Breakwater Lodge).

 

On 28th August 2015, PREFACE General Assembly 2015 (Cross-CT discussions, wrap-up sessions by CT, comments from the ESAP and Management Board meeting) together with the afternoon WP6 workshop will take place on UCT campus. Check logistics
